About Aduke
ADUKE is a Nigerian-British Afro-Soul artist, singer-songwriter, guitarist and storyteller whose music brings together Yoruba heritage, African rhythms and contemporary soul, jazz and folk influences. Her work explores identity, faith, love, resilience, memory, healing and belonging, creating music that is deeply personal while speaking to universal human experiences.
Born in Nigeria and now based in the United Kingdom, ADUKE has developed a distinctive musical voice shaped by her African heritage, years of live performance and a deep love of storytelling. Her music moves between intimate acoustic songwriting and richly arranged live performances, with her voice, guitar and musicianship at the heart of the experience.
ADUKE's artistic journey began in Nigeria, where she performed extensively and developed her craft through music and theatre. She has since performed internationally, bringing her music to audiences across Africa, Europe, the United States, Brazil and China. Her work continues to connect African musical traditions with contemporary global sounds.
Beyond recording and performing, ADUKE creates spaces for music, culture and connection. Through projects including This Is Home, The Cave Sessions and The Expression Room, she brings artists and audiences together through live music, storytelling and intimate cultural experiences.
At the heart of ADUKE's work is a simple belief: music is more than entertainment—it is memory, identity, healing and home. Whether performing solo, with her live ensemble The Alayo Collective, or through her wider creative projects, ADUKE creates experiences designed to bring people together and leave them with something to carry home.
